For more than 30 years, Farmington Public Schools has provided high quality, developmentally appropriate, and nurturing educational experiences for young children. The District currently offers flexible programming for children ages 22 months – five years of age. Before and after care is available for most classes.
All classrooms are fully licensed by the State of Michigan, and Alameda and Farmington Community School Early Childhood Centers are both accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (www.naeyc.org). Each of the teachers are credentialed and highly qualified, and receive extensive ongoing professional development annually. The curriculum for all programs is research-based and aligned with Farmington Public Schools' K-12 curriculum.
Early Childhood/Preschool Registration for the 2013-2014 school year for returning students is February 25 - March 1. General registration is March 2 - March 8. Those that attend the Open House are able to register early. Registration can be done at anytime throughout the year as space becomes available.
