Walled Lake Central High School Performing Arts Department presents Hairspray on March 14, 16, 17 & 21-24 at Walled Lake Central High School (1600 Oakley Park Road, Walled Lake 48390). Evening performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the two Sunday matinees will start 2:00 p.m.

This year’s show includes more than 150 students, faculty, staff, alumni and a large band of parent volunteers working around the clock to put together seven spectacular performances.

Mary Rashid, WLC Choir Director, said: “We’re happy to perform Hairspray this year which marks the 150th Anniversary of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation and Rosa Parks’ 100th Birthday. Tolerance, perseverance and equal rights are the keystone of our story.”

Opening night tickets on March 14 will be $10 for all seats. Tickets for the remaining performances are $17 for adults, $15 for students and senior citizens.
