In an effort to streamline processes and save significantly on bank fees, West Bloomfield Township Treasurer Teri Weingarden recently announced a move to Comerica bank for all banking services.

"The township has traditionally worked with two banks. After conducting a procedural assessment, I realized moving to a single bank would provide process improvements and cost savings for the township," said Treasurer Teri Weingarden. "I negotiated an additional 10 percent discount rate with Comerica bank by moving Payroll services there."

Weingarden said this consolidation will remove redundant services and accounts and further slash bank fees. The township will launch the first Comerica payroll in July.
