In their first ever pink night for "Volley for a Cure," the West Bloomfield High School varsity volleyball team were knocked off by Farmington Harrison in four hotly contested sets: 17-25, 25-22, 21-25,17-25.
West Bloomfield setter Bri Benge posted 20 assists and 4 kills, while attackers Jordan White had 8 kills and Tara Heald had 9 kills.
"We played tough all night. Harrison is very athletic and quick to the ball. We competed hard for every point," said Laker coach Julian Wargo.
West Bloomfield now stands at 1-2 (OAA White) and 7-14-1 (overall).
