Carnival of the Animals Coming to West Bloomfield

Young area dancers will fill the Berman Center stage on Sunday.

Even though it's only Tuesday, it's never too early to start planning ahead for next weekend. We are going to pick some of the fun and interesting events daily to help you plan and count down until it's the weekend again.

Our pick: Carnival of the Animals - A Family Concert

Where: Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit6600 W. Maple Rd., West Bloomfield

When: 1-2 p.m. Sunday

Why go: This dance, set to the music of Camille Saint Sean, will fill the stage with props used to transform the space into a fantasy world of breathtaking and surprising images. "Carnival" is performed by DDC dancers and also features young dancers from Farmington High School Dance Company and children from the Metropolitan DanCentre, Novi. A pre-concert workshop for KIDS (ages 4-14) is offered and participants will share their accomplishments ON STAGE before the show.
