Cirque Dreams Event Raises Funds for JARC
The Farmington Hills-based organization's 32nd annual fall fundraiser supports services to people with disabilities.
JARC, a Farmington Hills-based organization serving people with disabilities, is bringing the internationally critically acclaimed Cirque Dreams Enchanted Evening performance to Michigan in honor of its 32nd annual fall fundraiser.
The show will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 7:30 p.m., at the Fox Theatre in Detroit.
Over 3,500 guests are anticipated to join event chairs Lindsay Dembs of Franklin, David Haron of Farmington Hills and Janis Shulman of Farmington Hills, and Fundraising Advisor, Sharon Eisenshtadt of Bloomfield Hills for this unique performance. Cirque Dreams Enchanted Evening features an international cast of soaring aerialists, spine-bending contortionists, acrobats, jugglers and musicians.
A pre-glow for young adults ages 21-40, with a strolling supper and cocktail reception called "dreamlounge", will be held prior to the show, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Underwritten by Quicken Loans, the "dreamlounge" pre-glow will also feature catering by Matt Prentice, A Culinary Experience. Admission is free to this reception with the purchase of a ticket to JARC’s performance of Cirque Dreams Enchanted Evening. Chairs of "dreamlounge" are Michelle and Aaron Bass of Bloomfield Hills, Elissa and Jason Miller of Farmington Hills and Alyssa and Josh Tobias of Farmington Hills.
Quicken Loans, Title Source, Inc. and Gilbert Films – Gary Gilbert are the official Corporate Presenting Sponsors of JARC’s Cirque Dreams Enchanted Evening show. This year’s fall fundraiser will also feature a special matching gift challenge. Any new donation or gift increase from the JARC’s 2011 Fall Fundraiser performance of Rain will be matched dollar for dollar by the Wendy and Jeff Eisenshtadt Matching Gift Challenge.
JARC’S Cirque Dreams Enchanted Evening family event is open to the public and ticket cost starts at $60. All proceeds raised at the evening will support JARC’s services for children and adults with disabilities.
