An autopsy is pending for a local teenager who collapsed playing basketball and died Tuesday night at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital.
Walled Lake Central High School graduate Bryson Salem, 18, was playing basketball at LifeTime Fitness in Commerce Township shortly after 5 p.m. when he collapsed, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the hospital at 6:17 p.m., according to the Oakland County Medical Examiner's office.
