Letter to the Editor: Flaisher the Choice to Lead Divisive Board
Former Township Supervisor's experience will help guide collaborative governance, according to writer.
This letter was received by West Bloomfield Patch local editor Tim Rath.
“Fill in Flaisher”, the independent candidate for West Bloomfield Township Supervisor by absentee ballot or in person on November 6, 2012. David was our Township’s Supervisor from 2000–08. He is running again because the township is not being governed in the most effective and respectful way possible. He has had four years of self reflection and personal growth so he comes back to us as a more mature and humble leader.
“Fill in Flaisher” because the current board cannot and will not put their differences behind them, no matter what they tell us during the campaign. Too much personal pain and vastly different governing styles and depth of knowledge divide them. Supervisor Ureste’s poor judgment has helped cultivate this environment; hence the blame games, lawsuits, and trustee running against trustee.
“Fill in Flaisher” because David has learned from the past and has a strong, proven track record of fiscal competence. I believe David can effectively and collaboratively govern and move this township forward again. Please join me this November and “Fill in Flaisher” for Supervisor.

David Flaisher is supported by a cross-section of residents in West Bloomfield. David is committed and actively involved in our community. West Bloomfield residents generously voted to renew and increase our millage for public safety. We need capable and conservative leadership that is committed to balancing the budget while improving services and attracting new businesses and families. We need someone who values diversity of opinion and is willing to work with others. In order for WB to move forward in a positive way - we must fill the leadership void. Please join democrats and republicans in supporting professional leadership - FILL IN FLAISHER - for Supervisor - WBT.

I read a list of Flaisher's accomplishments in the Jewish News' Oct. 4-12 edition, pages 15 and 34. They were quite impressive. He was able to facilitate 500 million dollars worth of business development which included Henry Ford and Beaumont Hospitals and Plum Market. He must have adequate people skills to work with the heads of such large and profitable businesses. There is no doubt that Flaisher's corporate and municipal expertise is top notch. I will vote for Flaisher over Ureste.
