Local Nonprofit Organization Receives Car Gift
Jewish Family Service was given a new minivan by Serra Toyota Scion of Farmington Hills.
A Farmington Hills Toyota dealership handed over the keys to a 2011 Toyota Sienna minivan to Jewish Family Service of Metropolitan Detroit on Oct. 5, as part of Toyota's 100 Cars for Good initiative.
Alex Goldberg, head of Jewish Family Service's transportation department, took delivery at Serra Toyota Scion 35200 Grand River Ave., Farmington Hills.
Public voting determined the winners of the online contest, sponsored by Toyota. Based in West Bloomfield, Jewish Family Service of Metropolitan Detroit serves more than 30,000 residents every year with outpatient mental health theapy, addiction and recovery services, crisis support, case management for seniors and families, domestic violence prevention and intervention and more. The charity helps people from all religions and socioeconomic backgrounds.
