West Bloomfield Nonprofit Honors Student Volunteers

West Bloomfield Youth Assistance handed out awards to 46 local students for community service and improvement in school.

In gratitude to the 46 West Bloomfield School District students honored Wednesday night, a future West Point cadet and a band of musicians came together for a tribute.

Now in its' 16th year, the West Bloomfield Youth Assistance youth recognition awards event featured high school senior Michael Okorn and musicians Morgan Chen, Adrienne Farr, Rachel Berkowitz, Shelly Rouse-Freitag, Madeline Kaufman, and Zarin Kothari.

West Bloomfield Youth Assistance is a is a non-profit organization that offers professional counseling services and conducts prevention programs for youth.
