Wall Street Journal Editor to Speak at Shenandoah

Rebecca Blumenstein is the guest of the League of Women Voters Oakland Area on Friday.

 

Even though it's only Tuesday, it's never too early to start planning ahead for next weekend. We are going to pick some of the fun and interesting events daily to help you plan and count down until it's the weekend again. 

Our pick: League of Women Voters Oakland Area Annual Meeting and Guest Speaker

Where: Shenandoah Country Club, 5600 Walnut Lake Rd., West Bloomfield

When: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday

Why go: Rebecca Blumenstein, Page One Editor and Deputy Managing Editor of The Wall St. Journal will be the guest speaker at the Annual Meeting of the League of Women Voters Oakland Area. Cost for speakers followed by lunch and meeting is $32. This year’s topic will cover Women in the Economy and her International Career. Rebecca comes to West Bloomfield after recently co-hosting the “Women in the Economy” conference, an Executive Task Force bringing together CEOs, policymakers, industry experts and others for a unique, interactive working session on the powerful impact of women in the economy.
