Relief at the Pump: Gas Prices Falling from Summer Peak
The cheapest gas in the Greater West Bloomfield area today is $3.98 per gallon, and prices are expected to continue falling in coming weeks.
The average price for a gallon of gas is slowly starting to fall after hitting a seasonal peak of $3.87 on Sept. 14, according to the Wall Street Journal.
AAA reports the national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is $3.79 today; one year ago today, the national average was $3.50 per gallon.
“Retail gasoline prices have slowly been drifting lower since we hit a late summer peak of $3.8708 a gallon on Sept. 14,” Tom Kloza, chief oil analyst at the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS), told the Journal. He added that gas prices could fall into the $3.70s this week.
In West Bloomfield, you can find the cheapest gas at the Orchard Lake Road and Pontiac Trail Citgo station, which is currently charging $3.98 per gallon of regular unleaded gasoline.

Well I do not see where the gas prices have gone down much. They are still high in Novi. They never lower their prices.
