Our picks: Maria's Bridal Couture Trunk Show Featuring Claire Pettibone Gowns

Where: Maria's Bridal Couture, 6325 Orchard Lake Rd., West Bloomfield

When: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday

Why go: Brides-to-be can try on dresses by custom designer Claire Pettibone. Designer representatives will be on site to show off the entire bridal collection and answer questions. According to the West Bloomfield bridal shop located inside Orchard Mall, Pettibone gowns are made from, "custom, one-of-a-kind laces, embroideries, and fabrics."
