Sunny skies and warm temperatures will greet Greater West Bloomfield area residents on the last weekend of August.

According to National Weather Service, Friday and Saturday is going to be mostly sunny with highs of 86 and 87 degrees, respectively. On Saturday morning, a light south wind between 6-11 m.p.h. will accompany participants in the bass fishing contest on Cass Lake at the Big Fish Festival.

That wind could pick up to 18 m.p.h. by Saturday night. Friday night is expected to be partly cloudy, while Saturday night is mostly clear.

Sunday's forecast calls for conditions to remain steady at 86 degrees and sunny, but Sunday night has a chance of precipitation at 40 percent after 8 p.m. Nighttime skies should be mostly cloudy, with a high near 67 degrees.

Looking ahead to the Monday morning commute, the temperature drop to 80 degrees, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
