West Bloomfield Police Break Up Parking Lot Brawl Outside Restaurant

Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Christmas party at White Palace restaurant turned into a late-night punch-out in the parking lot, according to West Bloomfield Police.

Police were called to break up the "large-scale" fight at about 2:30 a.m. Dec. 9, according to Lt. Tim Diamond, which may have involved as many as 30 different people. Diamond said that pushing and shoving inside the restaurant had turned into a fight in the parking lot.

Diamond continued that while some fled the scene when police arrived, others were taken to a local hospital for minor injuries. There were no formal arrests made, although police are investigating.

"Many times, when you get on the scene of a fight that large-scale it's tough to determine who are the victims and who are the suspects, so it takes a great deal of investigation ... particularly when we're greatly outnumbered," Diamond said.

"There are multiple injuries and you're getting stories from every angle."
