Rain or shine, Relay for Life participants will marathon for 24 straight hours at West Bloomfield High School this weekend in the hopes of reaching their goals to benefit the American Cancer Society. And they want you to join them.
The annual fundraising event, which last year saw the donation of $185,000 towards cancer research, kicks off at 10 a.m. Saturday morning and expects to rock through the day with a bevy of family-friendly activities and games.
West Bloomfield's relay event, one of several in Oakland County this weekend, includes 43 teams which have raised just under $123,000 as of June 1. For a list of teams and a link to donate, visit the American Cancer Society website.
