An officer with the Bloomfield Hills Department of Public Safety was on patrol checking on commercial businesses Saturday when he saw someone spray painting a wall at the Pulte Building at 100 Bloomfield Hills Parkway at about 4:30 p.m., reports said. The male suspect noticed the officer, quickly picked up a backpack and tried to leave. The officer called for back up and ordered the man to stop and come back toward him. A Christmas party at White Palace restaurant turned into a late-night punch-out in the parking lot, according to West Bloomfield Police. Police were called to break up the "large-scale" fight at about 2:30 a.m. Dec. 9, according to Lt. Tim Diamond, which may have involved as many as 30 different people. Diamond said that pushing and shoving inside the restaurant had turned into a fight in the parking lot.
