Friends of a Farmington Hills family devastated by a brutal attack last month have organized a 5K Fun Run & Walk today to benefit the Cipriano Children's Fund.
Cost is $25 for entries postmarked by June 2 or in person until June 6, but participants must register by May 25 to guarantee a t-shirt. Registration the day of the event is $30.
Participants can register on-line at www.active.com, or by returning the flyer posted with this article to the YMCA. Sponsorship and in-kind donations are also welcome, contact Denise Morgott at dmorgott@earthlink.net or 248-496-4975 for a sponsorship packet.
Bob Cipriano, 52, was killed and his wife, Rose, 51, and son Salvatore, 17, were injured April 16 during an assault in their Farmington Hills home. Two Cipriano children, Isabella, 8, and Salvatore's twin brother, Tanner, were at home, but were not injured. The Ciprianos' oldest son, Tucker, 19, and his friend Mitchell Young, 20, face felony charges in connection with the murder and assaults.
