Plum welcomes our friend Dan Farley from J & R Selections for a comprehensive tasting of France’s southern Rhône Valley, featuring some of the best small family-owned properties currently being imported to the U.S. There’s a local source of pride here too: J & R is a Michigan-owned import company created in the 70’s by a U of M professor, JC Mathes, who fell in love with the Rhône. He acquired an import license was born and the passionate professor was pulling out maps of Gigondas and Vacqueyras everywhere he went. Dan Farley joined JC in the 80’s, developing relationships with current and new winery families.
