The Library‘s Summer Pop Culture Series includes this program about television icon, Ed Sullivan.

As host of The Ed Sullivan Show, Sullivan became an essential part of Sunday evening for millions of Americans. The Ed Sullivan Show, which was broadcast from 1948 to 1971, was one of the longest-running variety shows in broadcast history. Join us as we look back at the show and how it influenced American life and culture.


Presented by poet laureate and Wayne State University Professor M.L. Liebler.

The West Bloomfield Township Public Library was awarded the 2010 National Medal for Museum and Library Service, the nation’s highest honor for museums and libraries. They are governed by an elected six-member Board of Trustees and the current President of the board is Ken Macon.
