Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital offers four classes in November and December to help you make it a more healthy holiday.
All classes will be held 6:30 - 8 p.m. in the Demonstration Kitchen at the hospital, located at 6777 W. Maple Road, in West Bloomfield. Registration is required.
Vegan Cooking Nov. 5 Are you curious about how to transition to a vegan diet, or simply adding healthy plant-based options to your current lifestyle? This class features vegan recipes inspired by cultural traditions celebrated around the world.
Diabetes Healthy Holidays Nov. 14 Whether you have been living with diabetes, or just recently diagnosed, find out about portion control and foods to eat that will help you manage this condition. A chef and a clinical dietitian will lead the discussion and demonstration.
Vegetarian Holiday Dec. 5 Guest Chef Isabella Nicoletti, Weight Watchers Group, will demonstrate vegetarian recipes, featuring meat-free options for upcoming get-togethers. Learn healthy vegetarian basics, and how to modify favorite family recipes.
The New Holiday Dessert Bar Dec. 17 Downsize the holiday season with bite-sized desserts – a festive way to create holiday treats. Participants will take home a mini platter of desserts.
