Jewish Book Fair Opens and More This Week in West Bloomfield

The largest and oldest Jewish book fair in the country starts Wednesday.

The oldest and largest Jewish book fair in the country opens this week at the Jewish Community Center in West Bloomfield.

1. A Conversation with Ben Peter From “Life in Stills”


Ben Peter is the subject of a film about his efforts to save nearly 1 million negatives that document Israel’s birth, beginnings and most notable moments in history. For more information about this Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. program at the Berman Center for the Performing Arts, visit theberman.org

2. 62nd Annual Jewish Book Fair

Opening Wednesday at the Jewish Community Center, Drake and Maple Roads, the Book Fair offers events that feature leading figures from the worlds of arts, entertainment, politics, business, journalism and more. For a complete list of authors, dates and times, visit jccdet.org/bookfair.

3. West Bloomfield School District Open House

Stop by West Bloomfield High School on Wednesday, 6 p.m.-8 p.m., and meet representatives of all West Bloomfield schools. You can tour the high school and also learn more about the district's curriculum.
