Salvation Army Store Accepts Year-End Donations
Use the drive-up donation line at the Orchard Lake store and receive a receipt for your 2013 taxes.
If you're cleaning out your closets at the end of the year, the Salvation Army thrift store on Orchard Lake Road in Orchard Lake will accept donations through midnight on Dec. 31.
Use the drive-through donation line to drop off gently used clothing, linens, home goods and other items and receive a 2013 tax receipt. All donations to the non-profit are tax deductible.
On New Year's Day, all 34 metro Detroit Salvation Army thrift stores will offer 50 percent off clothing, as well as hourly spot sales across several departments, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The Orchard Lake store is open 9 a.m.-10 p.m. today; Friday's special offer is $5 for five items. Learn more at salarmythrift.com.
