Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Braided extension
  • Bobby pins
  • Rubber band
  • Teasing Comb (optional)

Directions:

1. Start by pinning the braided extension into your hair at the crown or along your hairline. Make it unique by playing up holiday colors or mismatching shades for the ombre effect.

2. Next, tease the hair at the crown for added volume (optional). Grasp two sections of hair directly above the braid, and twist over to cover the attachment.

3. Finally, gather the hair into a loose bun, and pin until the desired look is achieved.

The Braided Twist

Ideal for long hair

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Bobby pins
  • Rubber band
  • Braided extension (optional)

Directions:

1. Start by splitting the hair into two sections and French braid all the way down tying with rubber band. If you have short or thin hair, pin in a braided extension and blend with hair.

2. Next, pull pieces out of the braid to frame face.

3. Finally, twist braids into a loose bun, pinning until you have achieved the desired look.

“Not everyone is good with hair,” said Yono. “But have a little faith, there is hope even for the most ‘hair challenged’ who take my free how-to class.”
