Nexus Academy of Royal Oak, a new “blended” tuition-free public high school for students in grades 9-12, is offering a unique look inside the school through shadow days and open houses to provide prospective students and parents with more information on the school’s innovative and unique learning model. Nexus Academy, which now has three locations throughout Michigan, delivers online and classroom learning in a non-traditional campus setting – an ideal choice for students seeking a flexible, yet challenging, school option.

offers a state-of-the-art physical campus where
teachers interact with students both online and on-site. Additionally,
campus-based “Success Coaches” help guide students through the school’s comprehensive
which includes AP courses, foreign languages, core academics and more. Among
the engaging electives offered is Juilliard eLearning, online music courses
developed exclusively with the famed conservatory. Students will be provided
laptop and other technology tools; allowing them to work anywhere within the Nexus Academy school as well as beyond, 24/7.

The school is authorized by The Governor John Engler Center for Charter Schools at Central Michigan University, and is governed by a local Board of Directors. Its curriculum and other services are provided through contract by Connections Learning by Pearson, a division of Connections Education, a leading provider of high-quality, highly accountable online and blended learning accredited by AdvancED.
