REWARD: Two Small Dogs Stolen from Car
From Fox 2 News: BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. (WJBK) - A man is searching for his two pet dogs after they were stolen from his vehicle outside a church in Bloomfield Hills.
Thursday night, Carl Baecker went to the Birmingham Unitarian Church for a meeting and took his dogs with him. He left his dogs in the car with two pet beds and a bowl of water. He says his dogs love to ride in the car and love go places with him.
He went into the meeting and came out later to show someone his dogs, and discovered they were gone.
He says he has searched everywhere for his havanese, Little Girl, and shnorkie, Willy. The rescue dogs have been his loyal companions for ten years, ever since he retired and survived cancer.
He admittedly did not lock his car, but says he didn't think he had to.
"I've been here at this meeting here for two, three years and never had the doors locked and nothing's ever happened. Who would think someone would take some dogs, you know?" he says to FOX 2's Amy Lange.
Both dogs have a collar, and Willy also has an ID tag.
If you have seen the dogs or known of their location, contact the Bloomfield Hills police at (248) 644-5000.
