Learn to Cook Nutritious Meals for Breast Cancer Patients

Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital offers cooking classes in the hospital Demonstration Kitchen.

Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital offers healthy cooking classes that offer nutritious recipes for breast cancer patients and recipes for healthy soups. 

These classes will be held 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m.:

Just Soups 
Oct. 8, $19 per person
Learn easy techniques for creating healthy soups. Whether cooking for one or a family, this class will teach new ideas for making soups to be served fresh or stored for later use.

Nutrition and Cooking for Breast Cancer
Oct. 17, $19 per person
Join a dietician for nutrition tips for cancer patients. A cooking demonstration will address the food challenges associated with cancer treatment. Discover foods to improve stamina, high-calorie and high-protein recipes, how to add flavor to meals and tips to handle side effects, such as nausea.

The Demonstration Kitchen is off the main lobby at the hospital, 6777 W. Maple Rd. Registration is required and closes 72 hours before the start of class.
