Orchard Lake Closes Sunday in West Bloomfield for United We Walk
The road will be closed to traffic between Green and Walnut Lake Roads.
A portion of Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield will close Sunday at 3 p.m., for an annual walk commemorating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The Road Commission for Oakland County granted United We Walk a permit closing the street between Green and Walnut Lake Road, for one hour. Traffic will be detoured from Maple Road to Farmington Road to Walnut Lake Road and back to Orchard Lake Road.
Walkers will gather at West Bloomfield High starting at 2:30 p.m. for the walk, accompanied by the school's Winter Drumline. For more information about the event, which includes a program and dinner, visit unitedwewalk.org.
