Alexander Zonjic Presents Free Concert at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital

The Father's Day event is open to the public in the Ravitz Foundation Main Atrium.

Alexander Zonjic and his award-winning band, with jazz great Marion Meadows, will play a free Father’s Day Concert in the Ravitz Foundation Main Atrium of Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 16.

The concert is part of the Hospital’s Healing Arts Program Music Series.

“Given the vision and mission of this beautiful new institution," Zonjic said, “we felt the idea of holding a top notch musical concert as a gift for the community, was a perfect fit. There is no question that enjoying music can be a powerful tool for creating better health and well-being.”

Zonjic, who has shared the stage with such greats as Kenny G, Jeff Lorber and Keiko Matsui, currently hosts a syndicated radio show called Alexander Zonjic from A to Z that airs on Canadian radio and WVMV’s HD2 Channel. He won the 2010 Album of the Year and Broadcaster of the Year at the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards.

While studying classical music at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Meadows set his sights on jazz and began a career as a noted sideman before launching his solo career. His latest releases, including "In Deep", "Players Club" and "Dressed to Chill", have been well received..
