Mother/Son Bowling Party
Why go: This is an opportunity for mothers to interact with the special little guy. The event includes two games of bowling, shoes, pizza and pop plus a goody bag for the boys. Bring a canned good for the Lighthouse of Oakland County and receive an extra chance at a door prize.

Summer Camp Registration Begins
Why go: Camps are offered for children from toddler age to 17, including sports, arts, performing, travel, skateboard, nature and science camps and Safety Town.

Family Fun Day in the Zap Zone
Why go: Make Purim Parcel for JARC (a Michigan nonprofit that serves people with developmental disabilities) while having fun. Bring family and friends and have fun playing laser tag, glo golf, bumper cars, mini bowling, go-karts, jump zone or games.
Where: Zap Zone, 31506 Grand River, Farmington Hills.
When: 3-5 p.m. Sunday.
Cost: $5 adults, $10 children, free for children younger than 2. Light snacks will be served.

Wild Winter
Why go: Escape winter with animal arts and crafts, animal enrichment activities, face painting, zookeeper talks and a winter scavenger hunt. Ice cream and hot chocolate are available for purchase at a discount.

When: 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
Cost: Free with zoo admission: $12 adults, $8 children, $10 seniors, free for younger than 2 and members.

'Disney on Ice: Disney-Pixar’s Toy Story 3'
Why go: If you liked Toy Story 3, you’ll love watching Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the whole gang ice skate their way through the highlights. Special effects, large sets, creative costumes and skating dexterity round off the fun.
