Manager of Historic Tel Aviv Photo House to Speak in West Bloomfield
Ben Peter will talk about the more than one million photos taken by his grandfather, which document the history of Israel.
Ben Peter, manager of Pri-Or Photo House in Tel Aviv, and subject of the film “Life in Stills”, will appear Nov. 5, 7:30 p.m., at The Berman Center for the Performing Arts in West Bloomfield.
Peter began working with his grandmother, Miriam Weissenstein, in 2005, and gradually learned from her the secrets of the remarkable archive, filled with more than one million negatives taken by his grandfather, Rudi. The images which lay hidden for years, tell the story of the State of Israel from its founding to today.
