Cabernet Sauvignon – King of Red Grapes

There’s a reason why big, bold Cabernet is so popular – its opaque color, dense texture and deep flavor is irresistible. Blue-blooded traveler that it is, this small, dark-skinned grape does well in many growing regions. We’ll track the international expressions of Cabernet – from Italy, South America, South Africa, Australia, Spain, Greece, everywhere. Including our own Napa and Sonoma, of course! Experience the range of Cabernet’s expressions – cassis, blackcurrant, tobacco, cigar box, vanilla, dark chocolate, mint…yum! Opaque, brooding, dry, this noble red takes to oak aging better than a duck takes to water.
P.S. It may go without saying, but … there will be no white wine at this tasting.
