Fuel Report: Area Gas Prices Jump to $3.60 After Holiday Weekend

The Greater West Bloomfield area goes back to work after the holiday weekend Monday, and unfortunately, they're being met by higher prices at the pump.

According to the AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Metro Detroit is $3.57 this morning, up from $3.54 a week ago.

The lowest gas price in Metro Detroit can actually be found in nearby Bloomfield Township Monday morning, with regular gas coming in at $3.36 a gallon at the Speedway station at West Maple and Inkster Road. After that, the cheapest area gas prices can be found in Warren, Wyandotte, Detroit and Canton, where gas can be found at $3.39 a gallon.

In and around West Bloomfield Monday morning, the prices aren't so cheap. The cheapest gas price around town is $3.59 Monday morning, found at the Citgo and Speedway station on Woodward Ave.
