Gov. Rick Snyder Keynotes Chaldean American Chamber Event

Held Friday at Shenandoah Country Club, the event honors Detroit Independent Grocers founder John Loussia and Catholic Bishop Bashar Warda.

The Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce will honor Detroit Independent Grocers (DIG) founder John Loussia and Catholic Bishop Bashar Warda Friday during the organization's 10th annual Awards Dinner, held at Shenandoah Country Club, 5600 Walnut Lake Road, in West Bloomfield.

Gov. Rick Snyder will be the event's keynote speaker, according to an event press release. Other local and federal elected officials are expected to attend.

Loussia, who owns Value Wholesale, was selected as Business Person of the Year for serving as the driving force behind uniting grocers in the city toward a common cause of providing fresh, healthy food options for Detroit residents. He is a Bloomfield Township resident.
