Happy's Opens Pub-Style Restaurant in West Bloomfield

Sports fans, rejoice–there's another local restaurant in West Bloomfield where you can go to have dinner or drinks and watch a game on a big screen television set. 

In fact, the newly remodeled Happy's Pizza and Pub in the Gateway Shopping Center at 14 Mile and Orchard Lake Roads has 45 60-inch television sets mounted all around the restaurant.

"It's a homey environment, and we've got a great sports theme going on," said general manager Bobby Dalou, a West Bloomfield resident who worked at the location before it was converted to the  pub. "People are going to feel at home." 

Last week, a tall mannequin waving a "Now Open" sign greeted diners in the indoor/outdoor patio, which seats about 40, while the restaurant seats 245. There's a full service bar, and a menu with more than 150 items, including Happy's signature pizzas. 

"One of my favorite things is the Coke Freestyle machine," Dalou said. "It's got every flavor you could want." 

The pub also stocks 28 domestic craft beers. 

Happy's opened its first pub-style restaurant in Mt. Pleasant near Central Michigan University, in March 2013. The company, founded by Happy Asker, has more than 100 locations. 

“Detroit is one of the best sports cities in the U.S.," said Jason Curis, Happys' co-CEO. "Now our customers will have the option of ordering in or coming down to the Pizza and Pub, where they can enjoy a great atmosphere while still eating the same delicious food.”
