Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital CEO Van Grinsven Resigns

Crain's Detroit reports that he will take a position with Cancer Treatment Centers of America.

Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital President and CEO Gerard van Grinsven, who guided the hospital's 2009 launch, has accepted a post with Chicago-based Cancer Treatment Centers of America. 

Crain's Detroit reports that an email announcing the move went out to employees on Friday. His resignation is effective June 1.

According to the hospital's website, van Grinsven worked in the luxury hotel business before joining Henry Ford in 2006 to oversee development of the West Bloomfield hospital.
