How are West Bloomfield Businesses Doing? Why, Just Peachy!

Bringing customers into a frozen yogurt and custard shop in cold weather may sound like a difficult task, but it's just what Just Peachy did this week at a ribbon cutting ceremony by the West Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce.

Just Peachy is owned by West Bloomfield residents Steven and Melissa Morris and truly operates as a family business — a "dream for their daughters" Arielle and Alexa, said Melissa, who hopes to be able to turn over a successful business someday when the couple are ready to retire.

Just Peachy's specialty is frozen goods, but offers coffee from Ann Arbor's Sweetwaters business in order to keep a seasonal business open during the winter months.

"I've been here since it opened and it's always been packed every time I've come through the door," said Township Supervisor Michele Economou Ureste at the ceremony, which was attended by about 20. "It looks like it's going to be quite successful."

It's a dream come true for Melissa, who said she works with her daughters and family friend DeAnn Lutz on everyday tasks all the way up to designing the store's logos and layout. 

"Customers come in happy and they leave happy. It doesn't get much better than that," Melissa said.

The custard and yogurt at Just Peachy are Kosher and gluten free and all products are self-serve and priced by weight. Customers can choose from as many as 14 flavors and more than 35 different toppings.
