Deno Challon must use Girl Scout cookies in dessert competition.

Challon is working with Birmingham-based Girl Scout Troop #43751 to prepare for the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan’s third annual Cookie Gala.

The Gala brings together chefs from across Michigan to raise money for the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan. Each chef is asked to prepare a secret entry that uses an assigned Girl Scout cookie as a key ingredient.

He is planning a gourmet chocolate bark, involving milk and dark chocolate, pretzels, and Girl Scout cookie Lemon Chalet Cremes.

“I love participating in the Cookie Gala because it’s a great opportunity for chefs to think outside the box and help a great cause,” said Challon. “It’s always an honor to work with the Girl Scouts and a lot of time went into preparing this recipe for the event.”
