Local Business Offers Free Dry Cleaning for Job Interviews

'If you look good, you feel good,' said third-generation owner of Dubin Cleaners & Laundry in Farmington Hills.

A local launderer hit Facebook on Monday night with the following message:

"Going on a job interview? Look your best.... We will clean your suit at no charge. Good luck!"

, at 29975 Orchard Lake Rd. in Farmington Hills, charges about $11.70 for a suit. However, for owners Andy and Sandy Dubin of West Bloomfield, the cost is worth it to help those struggling with unemployment.

"The first impression is vital and if you look good you feel good," Sandy Dubin said. "We’re doing it in good faith and we hope that people don’t take advantage. What I’m hoping is that they obtain a job."

The third-generation business owners are experienced in giving back. Dubin reports that an event in June in which the Michigan Animal Rescue League was given space for animals resulted in six adoptions.

Dubin added that she would be happy to see those job candidates come back as regular customers once they have their jobs.

"That would be great to see," she laughed. "We have many regular customers and it's a successful business."
