Retire The Mower And Live The Easy Life
Condo living means no yard work, so consider adding these to your new home shopping list.
Warmer weather this week is slowly but surely revealing our lawns and gardens. Some can't wait to get down in the dirt and reclaim their gardens. But for others, the thought of pushing a lawn mower, spreading mulch and digging out weeds every weekend is disheartening to say the least.
For the "I hate yard work" type of person, we found five condos and townhomes in West Bloomfield, Farmington Hills and Birmingham that offer a spacious and sophisticated lifestyle, similar to what you'd enjoy in a single family home, only someone else cuts the grass and edges the gardens.
In West Bloomfield, we found condos that are not only near shopping and entertainment, many are in wooded areas with mature trees and landscaping.

Just remember, condo living isn't for everyone. The "down" side includes sharing walls (and noise) with other owners, paying monthly association fees and having to adhere to the condominium association's rules and restrictions.
So if you decide a condo is for you, what will you do with all that extra weekend time? Most condominium developments have recreational facilities in the common areas. Your ownership generally means access to a swimming pool, gym or tennis court — whatever amenities are within the condo complex.
