Twice-Baked Twins Give Cooking Class in West Bloomfield

The celebrity chefs will give a demonstration Oct. 28 at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital.

Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital welcomes Connecticut-based Twice-Baked Twins for an Oct. 28 cooking class in the hospital's Demonstration Kitchen.

Identical twins and celebrity chefs Joy Paoletti and Judy Vig got their start winning a Food Network contest. They are food and lifestyle contributors in 100 syndicated newspapers, as well as on regional and national television.

The twins’ approach to cooking involves Joy making a traditional version of a recipe and Judy creating a shorter, healthy version. They will share their cooking expertise and time-saving tips. Attendees will be able to sample the evening’s creations.

As Judy is a recent breast cancer survivor, a portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit The Pink Fund.

Based in Michigan, The Pink Fund distributes short-term financial aid for basic living expenses on behalf of breast cancer patients who have lost all or part of their income during active treatment.

Plymouth, Michigan-based Old World Olive Co. is sponsoring the twins’ trip to Michigan. The twins and Old World Olive share Henry Ford West Bloomfield’s dedication to healthy, flavorful cooking. The twins will also be doing food demonstrations at three Old World Olive locations in Michigan.

The twins will be signing copies of their cookbooks “The Judy and The Joy of Pasta” and “The Judy and The Joy of Olive Oil” after the class.

Part of the proceeds of cookbook sales, as well as sales that evening in the hospital’s LiveWell Shoppe, will also be donated to The Pink Fund.

Space is limited, and registration (required) closes 72 hours before the start of class. To learn more, call 248-325-3890, or email dk@hfhs.org.
