How did your business come to be?: The David B. Hermelin ORT Resource Center was first opened to help individuals in the surrounding communities obtain computer skills for professional development and personal enrichment in the workplace.

What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?: For a nominal fee, you can sharpen your computer skills and feel more confident at the office or in your home.  Our friendly, caring staff make your learning experience worthwhile.

What services does your business provide?: Microsoft Office Suite training through classroom learning, online courses and private tutoring in a state-of-the-art center with laptops, Smart Board and certified instructors.

What do you want your business to be best known for?: Unemployed and under-employed of metro Detroit may apply for the Better Job Opportunities program to learn the entire Microsoft Office Suite for job readiness. In 12-weeks, students become well prepared with skills in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, Access and Outlook.

What's your most popular product or service?: Over 350 online courses are available starting at just $95.00 each.  Learning online is a popular alternative for those wanting a cost-effective way to upgrade their skills anywhere they have Internet access.  Topics on health and wellness, budgeting and finance, public speaking, leadership and personal improvement are among the variety offered.  Students may also enroll in business related courses on writing, publishing, accounting, QuickBooks, managment, marketing, sales as well as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat.

Why did you choose to locate to West Bloomfield?: We are conveniently located inside the Jewish Community Center of West Bloomfield at 6600 West Maple Road on the northwest corner of Drake.
