West Bloomfield Physician Heads Emergency Response Coalition

Michael Feld, M.D., is a West Bloomfield resident and an Emergency Department physician at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital

Michael Feld, M.D., a senior staff physician in the Emergency Department at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, has been appointed medical director of the Region 2 North (R2N) Healthcare Coalition.

Feld leads R2N’s medical surge planning and response efforts for emergency preparedness.

The Coalition was one of eight in Michigan created in 2002, in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks to ensure statewide readiness and inter-agency collaboration to respond to public health emergencies. R2N's geographic boundaries include Oakland, Macomb and St. Clair counties.

Feld joined Henry Ford as a senior staff physician in 2009. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University and completed his residency in the Emergency Department at Henry Ford Hospital.

He is a member of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, American College of Emergency Physicians and American Medical Association.
