Oakside Scholars Charter Academy Dedicated to the Community

WATERFORD, Mich., September 16, 2013—Oakside Scholars Charter Academy is officially dedicated to the community, as parents, students, teachers, and community members celebrate the inaugural school year.

Oakside Scholars Principal Kathleen Grinwis said, “At Oakside Scholars we are creating a safe, friendly, and inspiring place for students to learn, grow, and thrive. I truly believe this school will be a nurturing place for community students for years to come.”

The school opened on September 3, 2013, and serves students in young 5s kindergarten through fifth grade. It will add a grade for the next three years to offer students an elementary and middle school education in one building.

Mr. Tim Flynn, Oakside Scholars School Board President, said, “All of us at Oakside Scholars are prepared and ready to create history in our first year. We know that this year sets the bar for students, teachers, and parents to come, we want to set the bar high.”
