5 Places to Watch the College Bowl Games

Patch helps you enjoy the New Year's holiday week.

Normally, we do a countdown of activities to help you plan for your adventures in the upcoming weekend, but with another holiday coming up, we thought we'd focus on everything New Year's.

If you have a large group wanting to watch the game together, Champps offers a unique open floor plan.  The fully stocked bar has four 60" HD plasma tv's to catch all the games and the restaurant's menu consists of a variety of items from salads to burgers and steaks to sandwiches.

The pub boasts over 40 HD-TV screens, and for those of you who like an extensive beer menu, this establishment is for you. The grill offers a full menu with everything from appetizers and pizza to potato-encrusted whitefish and St. Louis-style ribs.

Featuring a Tex-Mex cuisine with a few American favorites, this laid back bar offers two tv's in the dining room and three in the bar area. As an added bonus, the Coyote Grill is also one of those rare establishments that serves complimentary chips and salsa.

 

RJ's, in Farmington Hills, sits on the border of West Bloomfield. The American Grille features a nostalgic atmosphere and boasts thirty-six flat screen tv's.  The menu consists of a wide variety of American food including salads, chicken, steaks and burgers, but they are famous for their mussels bianco appetizer. 

Casey's of Walled Lake

The Sports bar offers an extensive menu with everything from Eastern appetizers and entrees to sushi or down home favorites like shepherds pie and mac and cheese. The bar also has twelve televisions for you to catch all the games.

  • Spartans: The 12th-ranked Michigan State University Spartans (10-3, 7-1 Big Ten) will play No. 18 Georgia (10-3, 7-1 SEC) in the 26th annual Outback Bowl on Jan. 2 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
  • Wolverines: No. 13 University of Michigan (10-2, 6-2 Big 10) will face 17th-ranked Virginia Tech (11-2, 7-2 ACC) in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Jan. 3 game at the Superdome in New Orleans.
