1. Project Build!, a collaborative effort between West Bloomfield-based Jewish Family Services and the Building Industry Association of Southeastern Michigan is hoping to finish strong in the  The contest ends Saturday at 12 noon, and if Project Build! wins, it will "ensure that hundreds of low-income and physically challenged people in Southeast Michigan can live in safe and functional homes."

4. A preliminary exam for three men accused of a racially-motivated assault on an African American Farmington Hills man will take place Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in 48th District Court. The three men — all under age 29, from West Bloomfield — were arraigned last month on charges of ethnic intimidation by Judge Marc Barron after the aggravated assault allegedly took place last year.
