5 Things To Know This Week: Midori Concert, West Bloomfield Band Spaghetti Dinner

Here's what you need to know about West Bloomfield this week.

  1. Township Board, School Board to meet Monday: The West Bloomfield Township Board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the township offices. Meanwhile, the West Bloomfield Board of Education will also meet Monday, at 7 p.m. at the West Bloomfield High School Media Center.
  2. Band program spaghetti dinner Wednesday: The West Bloomfield Band Booster Club will be hosting a spaghetti dinner and silent auction, with all proceeds going back to the band program. The WBHS jazz orchestra will perform. The dinner starts at 6 p.m. at West Bloomfield High School; tickets are $7.
  3. Midori concert Tuesday: Midori, one of the world's most gifted and innovated violinists, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Berman Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $56 and $45 for JCC members. Visit www.theberman.org for more information and to buy tickets.
  4. Intergenerational women's Seder Tuesday: Irene Swerdlow-Freed will lead a unique, intergenerational Seder meant for women ages 10 and up at Temple Kol Ami. The evening, which starts at 6 p.m. Tuesday, will feature a dairy, Passover-style meal. Tickets are $12 per person.
  5. Cold weather, snow showers on deck: The weather will remain cold this week, with temperatures staying in the low- to mid-30's all week long, except for Friday, when temperatures creep up to 41 degrees. Plus, there's a 60 percent chance of snow showers, and then rain, on Monday, Monday night and Tuesday.
