5 Things To Know This Week: State of the Township Address Wednesday, Spring Break Starts

Here's what you need to know about West Bloomfield this week.

  1. State of the Township Address Wednesday: Township Supervisor Michele Economou Ureste will be giving the 2013 State of the Township Address at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the West Bloomfield Town Hall. The address will be broadcast live Channel 15.
  2. Spring break starts this week: Get excited students: spring break for West Bloomfield Schools starts this Friday. Classes resume April 8. Meanwhile, there is no school beginning today through April 4 for students at the Frankel Jewish Academy due to Passover and spring break. Other West Bloomfield-area schools' spring breaks begins:
    • Thursday for students at St. Mary's Prep School
    • Thursday for students at Our Lady of Refuge School
  3. Roundabout meeting Wednesday: Learn more about the construction of a from 4-7 p.m. this Wednesday at the Warren Upper Elementary School in Farmington Hills. The meeting will be in an open house format, so residents can stop by any time.
  4. Pleasant Lake Elementary Leadership Day: Tuesday is Walled Lake's Pleasant Lake Elementary School Leadership Day, during which students will show off their leadership potential as they discuss ways to become better leaders in their school. The program will last from 9:30-11 a.m.
  5. Passover, Good Friday: It's a busy week for religious holidays. Passover begins Monday evening and wraps up April 2. Meanwhile, Good Friday is this Friday, meaning township offices are closed.
