Former Detroit Lion Accused of Kidnapping Son and More News Near You

1. reported Friday that Mark Grabowski, the Hartland dad and former Detroit Lions defensive lineman suspected of  has been taken into custody in South Dakota.

A YouTube video with Connor Grabowski-Cracchiolo, 11, telling viewers that he had not been kidnapped by his father, but  was recently released. Livingston County Sheriff Bob Bezotte said the Connor appeared to be coached in the video and may have been a "little brainwashed." Bezotte said that Grabowski should have taken legal recourse rather than take his son away.

4. A Rose Township man suffered multiple life-threatening injuries and is "lucky to be alive" after a scary motorcycle crash on Grange Hall in Holly Township Friday night, wrote .

Michael Johnson, 22, was struck by a GMC SUV at high speeds from behind around 5:45 p.m. Friday. The motorcycle then became wedged under the front end of the SUV, with Johnson still on it, and was pushed more than 200 feet, the family said.

Michigan State Police said the crash remains under investigation and police are waiting on toxicology reports to determine if the driver of the vehicle had alcohol or anything else in his system.

"Turn the Towns Teal" is a national effort to raise awareness about ovarian cancer in cities across the country. Volunteers are tying ribbons and handing out cards that list the symptoms of the disease during the month of September, which is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month.
