Get Out: Dream Cruise, Rummage Sale, Yu-Gi-Oh! Invitational

From finding some bargains to the first Michigan Yu-Gi-Oh! Invitational, there's a wide variety of activities for everyone in and around West Bloomfield this weekend.

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend. West Bloomfield Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check our picks for the activities to hit and events to attend in the area.

Why go: Today is the Woodward Dream Cruise and many nearby neighboring cities have events going on. For those hardy souls, the trek around Pontiac, Pleasant Ridge, , , , , , and is a tradition. A Classic Car Show is taking place right at this dealership to benefit the Birmingham Police Department. This family-friendly car show will feature classic and rare cars, and this year the DeLorean Club will be there. The event will also have food and music. You can park for $5 and enjoy a viewing area for the Woodward Dream Cruise.

When: Saturday at 9 a.m.

Why go: This all-day class sponsored by the United States Department of Natural Resources is designed for women who are interested in learning how to hunt. The Becoming an Outdoors Woman class, or BOW, is a non-competitive program for beginning women. Women will learn the rules of hunting, scent control, scouting and habitat, safety in the field, and how to care for and process their game for one of Michigan's seasonal traditions.

Why go: Yu-Gi-Oh! made its first appearance in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2009 for being the top selling trading game in the world. Today, Gamerz Lounge hosts the the first Yu-Gi-Oh! Invitational Tournament in Michigan in what is sure to feature the region's top players and select tournament winners. If you're into Yu-Gi-Oh! you won't want to miss this tournament — plus, there will be a large selection of cards to purchase for your collection.

When: Sunday at 10 a.m.

Why go: It's hard to pass up on a good bargain, so make a stop at Beth Ahm to find some exceptional values today. The sale will feature slightly used, but clean, second hand goods including clothing, linens, housewares, sporting goods and more to benefit the congregation. Remember the old adage, that one man's trash is another man's treasure.

When: Sunday at 4 p.m.

Why go: As summer winds down, enjoy a family evening at Historic Bowers Farm for their annual Corn Roast. Besides the corn and hot dogs, you can pet the animals, enjoy a wagon ride, eat some home-baked goodies, watch the "Front Enders" Musket Loaders, or listen to a Barbershop Quartet. It's an evening the whole family will enjoy.
